Come on let's celebrate!

Last night I was involved in a "drive by" in my beloved home town of Telford (Wem being my sister home town now!).

Not the kind you read about in the daily mail, but the lovely christmassy kind, when you drive by your in-laws house with the kids and watch the "big christmas light switch on".

This was swiftly followed by another "drive by" to sing Happy Birthday at full pelt (and safe distance) to my cousin who turned 40 yesterday, on the last day of lockdown.

We have all had different experiences of this most recent lockdown. Here at Chapel Street we were allowed to keep our doors open this time, and we have been able to help many patients over the past month in different ways:

  • Helping those with toothache

  • Spreading awareness and screening for mouth cancer

  • Advising how to prevent problems at a time when access to our services is limited

Team News to celebrate!

A little shout out to our Amy and Jilly (photo taken pre-COVID!)

We also received the wonderful news that our very own Amy O'Hara has passed her nursing exam and can now become a qualified member of the team. This is a fantastic achievement under the circumstances this year. Amy has worked tirelessly on revision and course work as well as helping the practice work through the pandemic. What a superstar! Amy is a naturally kind and resilient person and she is a real asset to our team.

Jilly, one of our two resident hygienists is also celebrating after being offered a position working with renowned periodontologist Ian Dunn. We wish Gilly the very best of luck and Merry Christmas wishes to all the team at Purely Perio in Cheshire.

We are still a safe place to visit and if you are overdue for your examination or have any concerns please get in touch 01939 232864 hello@chapelstreetdental.co.uk. Please be patient, if you get in touch a member of our team will get back to you asap.

So together, let's make the most of December. Everything and anything is possible if we decide we are going to grab every opportunity for joy however small. We wish all our patients a happy and safe tier two and send best wishes to you and your families and congratulations to Amy and Jilly again.

Last but not least a big thank you to all the NHS staff and key workers working to keep us safe and well at this time.
